There is a sirloin roast simmering along in the crock pot right now. Normally I would have begun with leftover beef from the fridge but in this case it was discovered in the freezer. The next post, hopefully, will include a Beef and Barley Soup recipe which was fast, simple and pretty tasty.
If you gathered by this introduction that this is another blog about cooking and recipes...then you would be right.
But that doesn't explain the title of this blog. Well I just could not think of anything original but Sophie. She is a 2 year old Ragdoll cat born on Halloween, for real. Except Ragdolls should be as their name implies...docile, timid, and becomes like a ragdoll when you pick them up. Sophie is none of those. Guess you could tell that by her expression. Plus she is a very picky eater. She would rather eat dry food instead of those special little cans of crab meat offered her twice daily.
Sophie is as much a Ragdoll as I am a culinary diva. But after years of collecting cookbooks, recipes and all sorts of kitchen gadgets, I thought this was good a time as any to start a blog.
So please join me as I share my recipes and review of kitchen equipment.
